FOR PRECISE CALIBRATION
The water triple point is the most accurately representable fixed point of the 1990 International Temperature Scale (ITS 90). It is 0.01 °C or 273.16 Kelvin. The accuracy is 0.0001 °C. Due to the high thermal equilibrium of this fixed point, the water triple point cell is optimal for high-precision calibration (e.g. e. g. of platinum resistance thermometers).

Our water triple point cells are made of chemical and temperature resistant borosilicate glass and filled with high purity water after a special chemical treatment. We are the only German manufacturer to produce our water triple point cells ourselves. This allows us to guarantee the highest quality and precision – triple point cells for water “Made by Schneider”.
